Hanover, October 16th 2018 | The debate on foreign policy and trade policy under president Trump divides the society in the USA and challenges long established international relations. Ray Vandenberg, attorney at our partner law firm Michelman & Robinson in the USA, explained which concrete judicial actions are connected to that in a conference of the law firm Herfurth & Partner in Germany. Currently the USA have a positive economic development: the unemployment rate dropped and a new tax policy has been established. Entrepreneur benefit from lower federal taxes. The new tariff schedule of 25% on steel and aluminium applies mainly to China but when you talk about 25% on cars, other economies like Germany could be affected as well. A matter of concern is the liberalisation for smaller companies that could have a huge effects on the areas of health, environment and labor. Ray Vandenberg talked about these things from the US perspective.

Of special interest was the election of the House of Representatives on November 6th. In the discussion afterwards possible developments of the politics and economy were the main focus. Participants showed great interest in Ray Vandenbergs personal opinion because he knows Donald Trump from his real estate work in New York.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column]
