Munich, 05. October 2019 | Alliuris has held its international Autumn Conference in Munich this year. As a result Alliuris has accepted two new members: the firm Romo Pailles in Mexico City and the firm LEXTRUST in Luxemburg. In the meeting Alliuris has also welcomed guests from Buenos Aires and from New Delhi.
The professional part of the conference was focussed on the subject of Corporate Criminal Liability, a legal aspect that is of growing importance. A number of countries have already laws providing sanctions on corporations, if their leaders or employees have committed an offense. In view that compliance will help to avoid or to reduce fines, companies will have to establish a compliance organisation and should cooperate with the prosecutor through internal investigations. Just two weeks before the conference Alliuris had collected comments from its member firms about the legal situation in their countries and the report was presented as a first overview in Munich.
The visit of the members was also a good opportunity to see the city of Munich and to learn more facts about the history of Bavaria and of Munich today as a cultural centre and an economic powerhouse in Germany.
