To our clients and friends,
I hope you and your families are doing well, and of course your teams in your company!
The corona pandemic has become a global risk and a danger for many people, although the main focus of risk is on certain groups such as the elderly and people with certain pre-existing conditions. Although the statistical risk is rather low, any one of us could be infected and the health care system may no longer be able to provide the necessary treatment for all corona sufferers.
In recent weeks, the situation has changed and worsened in many countries: Europe is the new epicentre of the pandemic with increasingly strict public regulations, while in America the disease has also increased considerably. Latin America and Africa are likely to be hit by the wave next. Corona is not only a health problem, but has massive effects on the economy and society of our countries.
This situation is a new experience for all of us: most of us work in our home offices, the world around us seems rather quiet, we see a lot of solidarity with those who maintain the basis of our daily lives, in the food sector, in health care and in public services.
But for most companies, day-to-day business is already declining significantly and they need to be prepared for this new economic and financial situation. We all have responsibilities for our employee teams and our families!
Therefore, like many other companies, we work largely remotely and continue to provide support for our clients in the usual way during this period. Our switchboard is manned, our office team works online and our lawyers are available – at the moment, our clients tend to refrain from personal visits.
We have now set up an information platform for companies, through which we will inform you promptly about developments and the legal framework. You can find the contents on the topic pages via the navigation above.
