Amsterdam, 13 June 2022 | Alexander Steenaert of the firm Marree en Dijxhoorn warmly welcomed Alliuris in Amsterdam for the General Assembly from 9th to 12th June. It was the first General Assembly in presence since the start of the Covid pandemic in March 2020. Partners from Europe, the USA and Brazil joined the meeting in person – even more, it was Alliuris’ first hybrid meeting, so members could also attend online.

The professional part of the Conference focussed on digitalisation, the changes and challenges it brings. The attendants gained insights into the digital policy of the EU and the USA. Furthermore, the recent agreement on digital tax and minimum taxation achieved by the members of the OECD was presented. The agreement aims to adapt the tax rules to the realities of the digital market.

One of Alliuris’ assets is that it is not a mere business alliance, rather the members attach great importance to having close personal contact. Hence, the Meeting was not only a great opportunity to catch up on business but after two years, everyone enjoyed seeing each other in person again. The host Marree en Dijxhoorn has chosen nice restaurants with delicious menus. On Saturday afternoon, the group made a boat tour through the canals of Amsterdam in sunny weather.
